Why do I have a limit of how many images I can remove backgrounds from? (premium users)

Why are background-removal credits limited?

The short answer: each background removal costs us money. Adding a limit protects the feature from abuse and lets us keep ShopLook Premium affordable for everyone.

A bit more context:
Background removal is one of our community’s favorite tools, and for good reason. It creates clean, seamless designs and makes layering so much easier. But high-quality background removal is extremely complex. To offer results that feel “Photoshop-level,” we partnered with a top industry provider… and we pay for every single use.

To avoid raising the price of Premium, we set a reasonable credit limit instead. Many apps charge $14.99/month or even $0.50+ per image for the same feature, and we want to avoid that.

How to make your credits last longer

Use one-tap background removal only for complex images, like busy scenes or white items on white backgrounds.

For simple product images (like a blue top or jeans on a plain background), you don’t need one-tap removal. Instead, use the free background-removal slider, which works perfectly for non-complex images.
